Hancock Prospecting continues as Foundation Sponsor of the SAS Resources Fund Gala for 2026

Hancock Prospecting continues as a Foundation Sponsor of the 2026 SAS Resources Fund Gala, joining fellow supporters for its 30th anniversary evening and recognising the courage, service, patriotism, sacrifice and huge contribution of our SAS personnel, current and earlier.

Our partnership with the SAS Resources Fund spans more than a decade, building on the longstanding personal support of our Executive Chairman, Mrs Gina Rinehart AO. It reflects a deep appreciation for those who have served our country, the contribution they have made and make, including to our history and pro Australia culture.

Our appreciation does not overlook those veterans and their families who are homeless. We call upon the SAS Resources Fund and all veteran organisations, to join us in our call to open the scarcely used or unused barracks and other defence accomodation facilities to let homeless veterans and their families in. Let veterans and the skills they acquired while in the defence force, such as carpentry, plumbing, welding, painting and electrical skills, assist with upgrade and maintenance of such facilities, so they can call a place, “home.” And join us in our call, to let veterans work as much as they may like, to help them pay rent or their mortgage and cope with the rising cost of living and still be able to support their families. And to be able to work, without the ATO or Veteran Affairs touching their pensions, that they have done so much to deserve. Simply pay tax like us all, on our earnings only.

Sadly, the road of homelessness and inability to work as much as they may like, is a road that leads to, depression, stress, and illness, or worse, a road that must be changed. And we all must devote more effort to bring about such change.

Mrs Rinehart and Hancock Prospecting extend our warm thanks to the veterans and their families, and hope you enjoy your evening.
