Speaking on 4BC Breakfast, Jason Matthews highlighted the opening of the Len Waters Apartments in Bowen Hills, named in honour of Australia’s first Aboriginal military aviator and only known Aboriginal fighter pilot to serve in the RAAF during World War II. The new accommodation is part of Mrs Gina Rinehart and Hancock Prospecting’s $200 million commitment to addressing veteran homelessness. Managed by Veteran Housing Australia alongside The Salvation Army, the complex aims to provide safe, secure housing and help veterans rebuild their lives.
